Q. Brief introduction of yourself 
My name is Maren Littledike.
I am a cosmetologist, lash artist, and, with my husband, own an eyelash extension supply company where we sell BL Lashes products.

Q. Personal meaning of Beauty?
For me, what I define as beautiful has changed over the years.
When I was younger I really only saw it as one’s outward appearance being in line with conventional beauty standards. As I have gotten older, what I see as beautiful is really how a person carries themself.
A person who is soft, kind, compassionate, uplifting to others, and service-oriented is what I find beautiful. I think often when you embody these qualities, your outward appearance reflects the beauty within as well.

Q. How much did the lash industry play in your empowerment?
When I started out in the beauty industry doing hair, I really didn’t have a love or passion for it. When I discovered eyelash extensions and the artistry behind it, I really felt like I found my niche.
I am a very detail-oriented person, and I loved that I could really take my time on each client to enhance their features and help them to feel more beautiful.
My favorite part has always been the friendships built with each client.

Q. Your secret to overcome worries, difficulties and hardships
My secret to overcoming worries, difficulties, and hardships is to practice self-compassion. Research shows that when you embrace yourself in a compassionate way, especially in your failures and difficulties, you are more likely to rise above it, and do better the next time, than if you are critical of yourself.
The beauty of self-compassion is that when you practice it on yourself, you will automatically embrace others with compassion as well. 

Q. Goals you want to absolutely achieve in 2025
My goals for 2025 are to share BL Lashes products with more lash artists, and find a balance with being a mom while running a business.

Q. Words of advice or/and last words for the women who will read you
"My advice for women reading this is to make sure to take care of yourself while running your lash extension business. When you are busy working, it is easy to put yourself last. When you make yourself and your health a priority, your business will flourish because you will be in a place to really put your heart into it. "
